New Recycling Boxes

Please see the message below from Ryedale District council regarding new recycling boxes:

Please be advised that over the next 6 weeks new paper and cardboard recycling boxes are due to be delivered to all residents in the Ryedale area. These new boxes are blue with black lids and are designed with the Ryedale District Council logo (this logo will still be suitable to be displayed on these recycling boxes after 1st April).

This is to help improve rates of recycling and allow our teams safer manual handling.

With these new boxes we will provide a postcard inside the box with information on why we are delivering these new recycling boxes as well as information on what recyclable materials can be put into each of the three different recycling boxes that residents will have (blue, black, and green).

Additionally, a list of FAQs will be made available on the Ryedale District Council website to provide further information to residents regarding this change.

Early notification of an important date for your diary…

You will know the Village has a Defibrillator situated in the telephone box and many of you attended a training session when it was first installed…

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service Community Defibrillator Coordinator for the area (Joanne Watson) has offered to come and give another ‘familiarisation session ‘ for those that are interested.

I have booked

THURSDAY 20TH APRIL at 7pm in the Hall.

She will run through the process of Triage when you call 999, how to use the Defibrillator and how to give CPR…it is expected to last about an hour.

Please try and attend, this is an opportunity to receive life saving training…which of course we hope will never have to be put in to practice…but you never know.

I will send another reminder nearer the date, but please put the date in you diary now.

We would appreciate an idea of how many will hope to be there so if you could let me know it would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Jeff Jordan
