Invitation to celebrate the HARVEST on Sunday 1st October 2023 at 11.00am – St Lawrence Church, Flaxton
There will be a service in church to celebrate the Harvest at 11.00 am on Sunday 1st October, followed by a “bring and share lunch” at 12.00 noon. Please feel free to bring whatever you would like to share. If you are unable to attend the church service, please do come to the lunch to enjoy good food and catch up with friends and neighbours. Food can be left in the village hall from 9.00am on the morning of the service.
If you would like to help decorate the church, then please come along on Saturday 30th September between 10.45am and 12.30. If that time is not convenient then please leave flowers in church on Friday. Vases will be left out at the back of church.
As in previous years we would very much appreciate donations of harvest produce such as tins of soup, meat, fruit, custard, rice pudding, pasta, cereals, tea, coffee, biscuits, sugar, jar of jam, any item that is non-perishable. Items can be left in church between 09.00am and 4.00pm on Thursday, Friday or Saturday or can be brought to service on Sunday.
Donations will be offered to the Salvation Army to make food parcels to help those in dire need.
