FLAXTON VILLAGE SHOW 2026
Flaxton Social organised the third annual village show which took place in the Village Hall on Saturday 5th September. Proceeds from the show were donated to the fund for a new village hall.
There were a wide range of entries across the classes in arts and crafts, photography, baking, preserves and horticulture. We also had classes for the younger members of the village. You can see from the accompanying photographs the excellent quality of all the entries. Our judges Linda Spaven and Judith Lawrence certainly had their work cut out!
We opened the show for viewing in the afternoon and everyone enjoyed the homemade cakes and refreshments put on by Flaxton Social. A fun afternoon was had by all!
Our Best in Show winners were:
- Grace Mook for her ‘Victoria Sponge’ in the adult classes and
- Gilda Cottrell-Howe for her ‘Animal made from fruit or vegetables’ in the children’s.
A full list of all the winners is attached below.
£332.50 was raised for the new village hall fund so a great big thank you to all who took part and came to support our village!
Thanks also to Dan from The Blacksmith’s who gave us discount cards for our first drink at the pub over the weekend.
