Complaint Procedure

The Council has recently received an anonymous complaint letter directed to the Chairman and Vice Chairman.

We process all complaints in accordance with the complaints procedure which can be found on the council website at:

We take every complaint seriously.  However, we cannot act upon an anonymous complaint as set out in section 2.2 of the complaints procedure which clearly states that the Complaints Procedure does not cover:

  • Complaints about the conduct of Councillors. These should be reported to the Monitoring Officer at the relevant principal authority.
  • Anonymous complaints.
