Welcome to the Flaxton Community Website
Flaxton is a small village in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. Located about nine miles north of York, the village lies entirely within a Conservation Area and has a population of approximately 350.
This website is funded by the Flaxton Parish Council and enables you to find out how the council is serving you. It also provides local news and information for Flaxton and the wider community.
Our aim is to evolve this site into a thriving community hub – so please sign up to receive the latest news and changes to the website.
There are a number of ways you can help us build the website … why not:
- Promote your upcoming village events and fundraising activities
- Promote your club or society
- Submit your Flaxton images so we can capture the whole village in our gallery – past or present.
- Provide historical details so that we can build and develop a Flaxton history timeline

Accessibility
